This painting tells us the story of the making of chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra. These three chariots have their specifications, and every year, three new chariots get prepared, and the Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra sit on their own chariots, and the devotees drag these chariots with huge ropes to their aunt’s place(Mausi maa temple) on Bada Danda. This ceremony is now followed by different Odia communities in different countries nowadays. I have tried my best to show our Odissi mudra for Trimurti.

This painting is called ‘Leisure’ because when the lion became older, he seemed like a calm and relaxed one. It started looking like a beautiful flower, and the birds around it became fearless, instantly starting to revolve around it, even the lion enjoying their company.
